pH
pH refers to the measure of acidity or alkalinity of the water in a swimming pool. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. A pH below 7 indicates acidic water, while a pH above 7 indicates alkaline water. Maintaining an optimal pH level in a swimming pool is essential for the comfort of swimmers, the effectiveness of sanitizing agents like chlorine, and the overall health of the pool’s surfaces and equipment. The ideal pH range for swimming pool water is typically between 7.2 and 7.8.
TOTAL ALKALINITY (TAK)
Total alkalinity is a pool water parameter that measures the capacity of water to neutralize acids, helping to maintain stable pH levels and prevent fluctuations. TAK is an essential parameter for maintaining a proper ORP level.
COMBINED CHLORINE (CC)
Combined chlorine refers to the portion of chlorine in pool water that has reacted with contaminants, losing its sanitizing effectiveness and potentially causing issues like cloudy water or unpleasant odors.
FREE AVAILABLE CHLORINE (FAC)
Free available chlorine is the amount of active chlorine in pool water that can effectively sanitize and disinfect, keeping the pool clean and safe for swimmers.
TOTAL AVAILABLE CHLORINE (TAC)
Total available chlorine is the combined amount of both active (free) and inactive (combined) chlorine in pool water, indicating the overall chlorine content for maintaining water cleanliness.
TOTAL BROMINE (TB)
Total bromine, predominantly used in hot tubs, is the combined amount of active and inactive bromine in pool or hot tub water, indicating the overall bromine content used as an alternative sanitizer to maintain water cleanliness and safety.

Free Available Chlorine Indicator
RoboARM® user interface displays various but critical pool or spa/whirlpool/hot-tub water quality parameters results after the device manually tests for the water chemistry by way of titration testing: reagents and test block. It provides a quick and clear overview of various chemical levels essential for water treatment or pool maintenance, such as Free Available Chlorine (FAC), Combined Chlorine (CC), Total Alkalinity Control (TAC), Total Alkalinity (TAK), and pH levels.
The colour-coded bars may represent test results, with specific colours matching certain concentrations and pH levels. The arrows could indicate the current levels, while warnings can be automated based on set thresholds, suggesting that some parameters are outside the desired range—for example, the warning signs under FAC and TAC indicate that these levels are currently too high and need attention. IntegroMatic® Sensor Calibration and SyncDose® can be configured to work with the RoboGuard® and the SCMC devices.

Reagents Liquid Level Status
RoboARM® frequently checks and reports the reagent bottles’ liquid level status and the findings are display on the DistanceCommander®. The RoboARM® is an automated systems that require chemical titration test reagents for processing swimming pool and spa water chemistry tests or treatments. Each bottle contains a different reagent labelled with a unique reference number to be used individually or as part of a combination for a specific test, and the coloured caps indicate the type of reagent and its purpose. As in the above snapshot indicates, the “Empty” warning is suggesting that the reagent bottle R-0009 needs to be replenished, or replaced. This interface provides a clear visual cue to the user regarding which reagents are available and which need attention, ensuring smooth operation and timely water testing, maintenance or replacement of reagents.

Reagent Status Setting
RoboARM® provides a detailed reagents status dashboard. It shows individual bottles, each with a unique ID, the last replacement date and time, and the estimated amount of reagent left in each bottle. The detailed tracking helps in inventory management and ensures that reagents are always available when needed. The warning icon next to R-0009 in the image likely indicates that this reagent bottle is running low and should be replaced soon, even though it still has a significant amount left, to prevent any interruption in operations. This kind of interface is quite useful in laboratories and industrial settings where precise chemical processes are undertaken.

RoboARM® Testing Schedule Setting
DistancCommander® control panel for setting an operation mode for water chemistry testing and treatment. It allows the operator to choose between “During Operating Hours” or “24 Hours” operation modes. There are fields to input the start and end times for operating hours, to customize when the system conducts the chemistry testing for the pool and spa.
Additionally, there are options to set a “Test Before Open/Close” duration, which refers to performing manual titration testing and calibrations (IntegroMatic® Sensor Calibration) before the operation starts or ends. The “Test Gap” inserts a time interval between tests during the operation.
The right side of the panel displays a schedule with days and times for tests related to Free Available Chlorine (FAC), Total Available Chlorine (TAC), pH, and Alkalinity (Alk). Each parameter has checkboxes that enable scheduling specific tests at various times throughout the day, in this case, Monday.
Lastly, there’s an option to “Alternate Weekend Schedule,” RoboARM® can operate on a different schedule on weekends, Holidays or certain/selected days.
This level of customization ensures that the system operates efficiently, adapting to the specific needs of the facility it serves, while also allowing for reduced operation during off-peak hours if necessary.
